Wix.com Ltd. is an Israeli cloud-based web development platform that was first developed and popularized by the Israeli company also called Wix. It allows users to create HTML5 web sites and mobile sites through the use of online drag and drop tools.

  6. After you tell Wix the type of site you want to build, Wix offers 2 options for creating your site:

Option #1: Create a Wix website using Wix ADI

Option #2: Create a Wix site using the Wix Editor


Step 3 – Choosing the right template

As soon as you click on the ‘Start with Wix Editor’ button, you’ll be directed to various templates.
As you can see in the following image, in our case, Wix is already highlighting a bunch of relevant templates in the ‘Business’ category.
Not only that, there’s also a handy search option to filter out the right template

Step 4 – Explore Wix website details

If you want to change the background color, all you need to do is click on the ‘Color’ option, and Wix will present a color palette. As you hover on any color from the palette, Wix will show you a real time preview

The ‘Add’ option lets you add design elements to your website. These elements include:

    Step 5 – Publish your site

  • Your website is now ready for publish. Before you click the button in the top right corner to publish your first Wix website, you can preview it. Make sure you are happy with every part of your website and click “Publish”. Now you will see your domain name appear in the popup. You can choose toconnect your Wix site to your own domain or leave it by default.
