How to choose the right phone under Rs 20,000
- Battery: Most phones here have 6000mAh or more, which usually means a full day and often two days of normal use. If battery is your top priority, look at the OnePlus N6x (7000mAh) or the realme NARZO range.
- RAM and storage: 4GB RAM is fine for basic use, but 6GB with 128GB, like the Redmi 15C 5G Prime, gives more room for apps and photos. Avoid 64GB if you save a lot of videos.
- Software updates: A phone you keep for 3 to 4 years needs updates. Samsung lists 6 generations of OS upgrades on the Galaxy M17 5G, which is rare at this price.
- 5G support: Almost every phone in this list supports 5G, so it will stay useful as networks improve.
- Brand and service: Samsung and OnePlus have wider service centre networks, which helps if something goes wrong.
